The grate is suitable for most types of solid fuel and the ash pan comes with a removable tool.
The dimensions of the grate are 10″ at the back, 15″ at the front and 9.5″ from front to back inc the front.
When you don’t want to use the coal fire in the summer. I have an electric insert fire that will take its place.
