This customer originally came to Debrett Fires struggling with expensive electric radiators that were costing a fortune to run while still not providing enough heat throughout the home.

After discussing the customer’s heating requirements and property layout, a new multifuel stove installation was recommended to provide a more effective and economical heating solution with the added warmth and atmosphere of a real fire.

The customer chose a heavy-duty multifuel stove designed for regular daily use, excellent heat output, and long-term durability — providing a reliable heating source that will deliver warmth and performance for many years to come.

All work was completed by our team, including opening the original chimney breast, preparing the chamber, installing and lining the chimney system, and finishing the installation with a clean plastered finish ready to suit the customer’s décor.

This beautiful fireplace renovation completely transformed the living space from traditional and dated to clean, modern, and inviting.

The original heavy stone fireplace was replaced with a contemporary balanced flue gas fire and elegant limestone surround, creating a sleek new focal point for the room. Paired with warm herringbone wood flooring and soft neutral décor, the space now feels brighter, more spacious, and effortlessly stylish.

For this project, the customer wanted to upgrade their existing fireplace to a modern high-efficiency gas fire with improved heat performance, cleaner styling, and a more contemporary flame picture.

We began by carefully removing the original fireplace and opening the chamber up to its maximum usable size, creating a larger and more balanced feature within the room. Once exposed, the chimney was professionally swept and checked before installation work started, ensuring everything was safe and correctly prepared for the new appliance.

After preparing the opening, a new chamber and base were constructed to support the fire correctly and achieve the clean finish the customer wanted. The new square HE gas fire was then installed alongside a made-to-measure fireplace and hearth, carefully designed to cover previous flooring cut-outs and old installation marks.

The finished result completely transformed the room — creating a modern focal point with realistic flames, impressive heat output, and a seamless installation perfectly suited to the customer’s home.
